Started this thread because I found a book that is truly fascinating, it’s about the history, of the Aztecs, in their own words. I find particularly fascinating how they dealt with the arrival of the Spanish, who they knew through sophisticated reconnaissance operations that they had better technology and they were going to lose. In some way, it reminds me of how our countries today reacted to the pandemic, the crisis being a flashpoint of interpersonal conflict and political polarization. It’s so interesting.

well didn't they lose because of pandemics ? also spaniards were more advanced since they had steel weapons, fire weapons/guns, horses, etc
